【摘要】:Therelatedmethodsofdeterminingthemeltpointofpetroleumwaxarerelativelytime-consuming.Thismethodendeavorstoreducethedurationoftestingsignificantlyandatthesametimemaintainareasonableprecision.Thismethodcanbeusefulforqualitycontrolofpetroleumwaxesaswellasresearchandproductdevelopmentworkonthesewaxes.Formethodsusedfortestingmeltpointsofpetroleumwaxes,seeTestsMethodD87,D127,includingPetrolatumandTestMethodD938.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedureforrapidlydeterminingthesolidificationpointofpetroleumwax.Note18212;Thistestmethodisalsoapplicabletosimilarmaterialssuchassyntheticwaxesbuttheprecisionmayvary.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
