【摘要】:Thedistillation(volatility)characteristicsofhydrocarbonshaveanimportanteffectontheirsafetyandperformance,especiallyinthecaseoffuelsandsolvents.Theboilingrangegivesinformationonthecomposition,theproperties,andthebehaviorofthefuelduringstorageanduse.Volatilityisthemajordeterminantofthetendencyofahydrocarbonmixturetoproducepotentiallyexplosivevapors.Thedistillationcharacteristicsarecriticallyimportantforbothautomotiveandaviationgasolines,affectingstarting,warm-up,andtendencytovaporlockathighoperatingtemperatureorathighaltitude,orboth.Thepresenceofhighboilingpointcomponentsintheseandotherfuelscansignificantlyaffectthedegreeofformationofsolidcombustiondeposits.Distillationlimitsareoftenincludedinpetroleumproductspecifications,incommercialcontractagreements,processrefinery/controlapplications,andforcompliancetoregulatoryrules.Thistestmethodcanbeappliedtocontaminatedproductsorhydrocarbonmixtures.Thisisvaluableforfastproductqualityscreening,refiningprocessmonitoring,fueladulterationcontrol,orotherpurposesincludinguseasaportableapparatusforfieldtesting.Thistestmethodusesanautomaticmicrodistillationapparatus,providesfastresultsusingsmallsamplevolume,andeliminatesmuchoftheoperatortimeandsubjectivityincomparisontoTestMethodD86.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedurefordeterminationofthedistillationcharacteristicsofpetroleumproductshavingboilingrangebetween20to400x00B0;Catatmosphericpressureusinganautomaticmicrodistillationapparatus.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletosuchproductsas;lightandmiddledistillates,automotivespark-ignitionenginefuels,automotivespark-ignitionenginefuelscontainingupto10%ethanol,aviationgasolines,aviationturbinefuels,regularandlowsulfurdieselfuels,biodieselblendsupto20%biodiesel,specialpetroleumspirits,naphthas,whitespirits,kerosines,burnerfuels,andmarinefuels.1.3Thetestmethodisalsoapplicabletohydrocarbonswithanarrowboilingrange,likeorganicsolventsoroxygenatedcompounds.1.4Thetestmethodisdesignedfortheanalysisofdistillateproducts;itisnotapplicabletoproductscontainingappreciablequantitiesofresidualmaterial.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
