【摘要】:Thispracticeprovidesstandardizedrequirementsformaking,curing,protecting,andtransportingconcretetestspecimensunderfieldconditions.Ifthespecimensaremadeandstandardcured,asstipulatedherein,theresultingstrengthtestdatawhenthespecimensaretestedareabletobeusedforthefollowingpurposes:Acceptancetestingforspecifiedstrength,Checkingadequacyofmixtureproportionsforstrength,andQualitycontrol.Ifthespecimensaremadeandfieldcured,asstipulatedherein,theresultingstrengthtestdatawhenthespecimensaretestedareabletobeusedforthefollowingpurposes:Determinationofwhetherastructureiscapableofbeingputinservice,Comparisonwithtestresultsofstandardcuredspecimensorwithtestresultsfromvariousin-placetestmethods,Adequacyofcuringandprotectionofconcreteinthestructure,orFormorshoringremovaltimerequirements.1.1Thispracticecoversproceduresformakingandcuringcylinderandbeamspecimensfromrepresentativesamplesoffreshconcreteforaconstructionproject.1.2Theconcreteusedtomakethemoldedspecimensshallbesampledafterallon-siteadjustmentshavebeenmadetothemixtureproportions,includingtheadditionofmixwaterandadmixtures.Thispracticeisnotsatisfactoryformakingspecimensfromconcretenothavingmeasurableslumporrequiringothersizesorshapesofspecimens.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.(WarningFreshhydrauliccementitiousmixturesarecausticandmaycausechemicalburnstoexposedskinandtissueuponprolongedexposure.)1.5Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesshallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.
