【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiestwoempiricalmethodsforthequantitativedeterminationofthelossofmassfromaplasticmaterialunderdefinedconditionsoftimeandtemperature,inthepresenceofactivatedcarbon.Thesemethodsareused,inparticular,forthequantitativedeterminationofthelossonheatingofplasticizersfromplasticizedplasticmaterials,inwhichcaseitisgenerallyassumedthatnosignificantamountsofothervolatilematerialsarepresent.Theseareempiricaltestmethods,suitableonlyforaratherrapidcomparisonofthelossesofplasticizersor,ingeneral,ofvolatilecompounds,fromdifferentplastics.Theymayalsobeemployedforthecomparisonofdifferenttypesofplasticizers;inthiscase,standardcompoundsshouldbeprepared,onthebasisofawellcharacterizedresin,withknownratiosofresintoplasticizer.NOTEThesecomparisonsarepossibleonlyifthetestspecimensareofthesamethickness.Ifitcanbeassumedthat,afterreconditioning,themoisturecontentoftheexposedspecimensisequaltothatobtainingaftertheoriginalconditioning,theeffectofmoisturemaybeignored.Twomethodsarespecified:—MethodA:Thetestspecimensareindirectcontactwiththecarbon;thismethodisparticularlyusefulformaterialsthathavetobetestedatrelativelylowtemperaturesbecausetheyflowathighertemperatures.—MethodB:Thetestspecimensareplacedinwirecagesthatpreventdirectcontactbetweenthetestspecimensandthecarbon.
