【摘要】:TestMethodD1113isconsideredsatisfactoryforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipments,andtheprocedurehasbeenusedextensivelyinthetradeforthispurpose,particularlyinconnectionwiththedeterminationofcleanwoolfiberpresentbyTestMethodD584.TheprocedureinTestMethodD1113isusedbytheU.S.CustomsServiceforthedeterminationofthevegetablematterinimportationsofrawwoolonwhichtheallowanceforlossofwoolduringcommercialcleaningisbasedinpart.35.1.1IncaseofadisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestresultswhenusingTestMethodD1113foracceptancetestingofcommercialshipments,thepurchaserandthesuppliershouldconductcomparativeteststodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweentheirlaboratories.Competentstatisticalassistanceisrecommendedfortheinvestigationofbias.Asaminimum,thetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestspecimensthatareashomogeneousaspossibleandthatarefromalotofmaterialofthetypeinquestion.Thetestspecimensshouldthenberandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.TheaverageresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingStudentst-testforunpaireddataandanacceptableprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwopartiesbeforethetestingisbegun.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrectedorthepurchaserandthesuppliermustagreetointerpretfuturetestresultsinlightoftheknownbias.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthecontentofoven-dried,ash-free,alcoholextractive-freevegetablematterandotheralkali-insolubleimpuritiespresentinscouredwool.Itisalsoapplicableto"relatedfibers"suchasthehairfromthegoat,camel,alpaca,andotheranimals.Note1--ThedeterminationofcleanwoolfiberpresentonalaboratoryscaleiscoveredinTestMethodD584,thedeterminationofcleanwoolfiberpresentonacommercialscaleiscoveredinTestMethodD1334,andthecalculationofcommercialweightandyieldofvariouscommercialcompositions(formerlycoveredinAppendixtoTestMethodD584)iscoveredinPracticeD2720.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblemsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificsafetyprecautionstatements,seeSection8.
