【摘要】:Thistestmethodcanbeusedtomeasurethelevelofmercuryinnaturalgasstreamsforpurposessuchasdeterminingcompliancewithregulations,studyingtheeffectofvariousabatementproceduresonmercuryemissions,checkingthevalidityofdirectinstrumentalmeasurements,andverifyingthatmercuryconcentrationsarebelowthoserequiredfornaturalgasprocessingandoperation.Adsorptionofthemercuryongold-coatedbeadscanremoveinterferencesassociatedwiththedirectmeasurementofmercuryinnaturalgas.Itpreconcentratesthemercurybeforeanalysistherebyofferingmeasurementofultra-lowaverageconcentrationsinanaturalgasstreamoveralongspanoftime.Itavoidsthecumbersomeuseofliquidspargerswithon-sitesampling,andeliminatescontaminationproblemsassociatedwiththeuseofpotassiumpermanganatesolutions.3,4,51.1Thistestcoversthedeterminationoftotalmercuryinnaturalgasatconcentrationsdownto1ng/m3.Itincludesseparateproceduresforbothsamplingandatomicabsorptionspectrophotometricdeterminationofmercury.Theproceduredetectsbothinorganicandorganicformsofmercury.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
