【摘要】:1.1Thisclassificationsystemcoversunfilled,filled,andreinforcedpolyetherimidematerialssuitableforinjectionmoldingandextrusion.1.2Thisclassificationsystemisnotintendedfortheselectionofmaterials,butonlyasameanstocalloutplasticmaterialstobeusedforthemanufactureofparts.Theselectionofthesematerialsistobemadebypersonnelwithexpertiseintheplasticsfieldwheretheenvironment,inherentpropertiesofthematerials,performanceoftheparts,partdesign,manufacturingprocess,andeconomicsareconsidered.1.3Thepropertiesincludedinthisclassificationsystemarethoserequiredtoidentifythecompositionscovered.Theremaybeotherrequirementsnecessarytoidentifyparticularcharacteristicsimportanttospecificapplications.ThesemaybespecifiedbyusingsuffixesasdescribedinSection5.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.5Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section12,ofthisclassificationsystem:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninNote4.
