【摘要】:Theoilabsorptionvalueobtainedbythistestmethodgivesinformationaboutthevehicledemandofthepigmentwhenitisusedinapigmentpaste.Oilabsorptionvaluescanbeusedtocharacterizepigmentsorbatchesofagivenpigment.ThistestmethoddiffersfromTestMethodD1483inthatD1483involvesonlyagentlestirringandfoldingofthepigment,whereasthistestmethodrequiresathoroughrubbingaction.Becausetheendpointsaredifferent,thevaluesobtainedfromthetwotestmethodsgenerallydiffer.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheoilabsorptionofpigmentsbythespatularub-outtechnique.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
