【摘要】:Themethodsinthisguidecanbeusedforsimplescreeningoffabricsoftenerproductsortoevaluatetheperformance,throughmultipleaccumulativecycles,relativetoadesignatedreferenceproduct.Asingleassessmentofeachoftheproductcharacteristicstestedbythesemethodswillnotpredictoverallperformanceofthesoftenerproduct.Asingletestrununderspecifiedfixedconditionscannotbeexpectedtoreflectthecomparativeperformanceundermanyotherpossibleconditionsofuse.1.1Thisguideevaluatestheperformancecharacteristicsoffabricsoftenerproducts.Itprovidesguidancefortreatingfabricinthewash,rinse,ordryercycleinahomelaundryandforevaluatingtheefficacyofthetreatmentchemicals.Thisguidecanbeusedforsimplescreeningoffabricsoftenerproducts,ortoevaluatetheproductsthroughmultipleaccumulativecycles.1.2Therelativerankingofproductsassessedbytheseproceduresmaybeaffectedbysuchfactorsasfabricloadcompositionandthekindandlevelofsoils,aswellasbythewashinganddryingproceduresused.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
