【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethodforthedeterminationofthetemperatureatwhichplasticsthatarenotrigidatnormalambienttemperatureexhibitbrittlefailureunderspecifiedimpactconditions.Asupplementarytechniqueusingnotchedspecimensdevelopsbrittlenessvaluesatamuchhighertemperaturethanareobservedforunnotchedspecimensofthesameplasticmaterial.Themethodutilizesastatisticaltechniquetoquantifythebrittlenessfailuretemperature.Provisionsaremadeforthetestingofsufficientspecimenstopermitthecalculationofthebrittlenesstemperatureonastatisticalbasis.Statisticaltechniqueshavebeendevelopedtoquantifythebrittlenesstemperatureasisdefinedin3.1.Themethodestablishesthetemperatureatwhichthereisa50%chanceoffailureineitherunnotchedornotchedspecimens.Thismethodhasbeenfoundusefulforspecificationpurposes,althoughitdoesnotnecessarilymeasurethelowesttemperatureatwhichthematerialmaybeused.Inthemeasurementofthebrittlenesstemperature,theprecisionofthemeasurementshouldpreferablybe±5CCattheworstwhenestablishingvaluesusedinmaterialspecifications.
